Hatters at workIn Tradesmen's Tickets And Private Tokens R. C. Bell describes what's going on inside the hatter's shop. The three men at left are engaged in a process known as Working. The man to the far right (on token) is Blocking. In the foreground the proprietor examines the finished product.

The ornaments over the windows on reverse are topped with the Prince of Wales's Plumes.
